Christmas in Sweden includes more days off, both for schoolchildren and for adults, than any other festival, and in some years the number of working days in between public holidays and weekends can bee so small that, by docking a couple of days from their year’s holiday, people can be off work from anything up to two weeks. We found a wonderful story about a Swedish American experience of a Christmas in Sweden in a recent issue of the Swedish newspaper of America, Nordstjernan. When it comes to illustrating traditions and offering a mix of the traditional and the contemporary we have found this, the oldest Swedish newspaper in America, to be the source to go to and follow, although the modern, printed edition of the newspaper  keeps you continuously updated, we found a section on traditions on the website.
